Acceptable use policy
1. Prohibited use
Prohibited Industries
You may not use Payop services in case you are engaged into the following activities:
- Tobacco and alcohol products;
- Prescription drugs, drugs and drug paraphernalia;
- Weapons (including without limitation, knives, guns, firearms or ammunition);
- Satellite and cable TV descramblers;
- Pornography;
- Material which incites violence, hatred, racism or which is considered obscene;
- Government IDs and licences including replicas and novelty items;
- Any counterfeit products;
- Unregistered charity services;
- Items which encourage or facilitate illegal activities;
- Third party processing or payment aggregation products or services;
- Multi-level marketing, pyramid selling or ponzi schemes, matrix programmes or other “get rich quick” schemes or high yield investment programmes;
- Goods or services that infringe the intellectual property rights of a third party;
- Timeshares or property reservation payments (On and Off Plan).
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to add categories of prohibited transactions by adding such categories to this list.
You may not use Payop services for any illicit activity and/or for any activity which was not previously approved with Payop by the means as outlined in the Merchant Agreement.
Prohibited Countries and jurisdictions
You may not use our services in case you or your payers are situated in certain countries and jurisdictions. The list of such jurisdictions is provided below:
- Abkhazia (the Republic of)
- Artsakh / Nagorno-Karabakh
- Crimea (Occupied territory of Ukraine)
- Donetsk (Occupied territory of Ukraine)
- Kherson (Occupied territory of Ukraine)
- Luhansk (Occupied territory of Ukraine)

- Somaliland (the Republic of)
- South Ossetia (the Republic of)
- Transnistria (Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic)

This list is not exhaustive and we may in our sole discretion decide to discontinue or restrict our services in other countries and jurisdictions at any time and without prior notice.
2. Restricted use
We may require applying additional screening and onboarding measures to certain businesses. Such industries may include:
- \Internet gaming, online casinos and betting platforms, sports betting, lottery and sweepstakes operators;
- Forex trading platforms;
- Virtual currency service providers, exchanges, custodians, wallets.
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to add categories of restricted industries by adding additional industry categories to this list or by assigning higher risk and applying enhanced due diligence measures to other business models at our own discretion.
